What is an SNT file?
An .SNT file is a data file created by older versions of Microsoft Windows Sticky Notes. It stores the text, font style, color, and screen position of notes on your desktop. This Sticky Notes File is usually named `StickyNotes.snt`.
How to open SNT files?
If you use Windows 7, Windows 8, or older versions of Windows 10, the default Sticky Notes app opens these files automatically. In newer Windows versions, Microsoft changed the app to use a different database format. To read old .SNT files today, you often need to import them into the new app. Because the .SNT file uses a structure similar to Microsoft Word's DOC format, you can sometimes open it in text editors like Notepad or Microsoft Word. However, simple text editors will display extra technical code alongside your text.
Analyze and view your file
The viewer.online/snt tool analyzes .SNT files to identify their exact format and creator software. It shows which programs can open the file and usually previews it. If you have an unknown .SNT file, we recommend using viewer.online/snt to identify the actual format of your file.
Summary
Because .SNT files use the known DOC format internally, viewer.online/snt can safely open and display them online, eliminating compatibility problems.
